Artist D4vd Reportedly Identified as Person of Interest in Death of Youngster Discovered in Tesla
The artist known as D4vd was named as a person of interest in the death of Celeste Rivas, a young girl who disappeared and was later found deceased inside the artist's Tesla car this past fall, based on authorities.
Discovery of the Remains
The deteriorated body of Rivas, 15, was discovered in the fall inside the front trunk of a black Tesla linked to D4vd, whose actual name is David Anthony Burke. The car had been cited in a Hollywood Hills and afterwards impounded at a tow yard in the city.
Sequence of Events
Authorities believe that Rivas probably succumbed in the earlier part of the year, adding that D4vd had apparently assisted in cutting up and discarding the remains. This musician has not been cooperative in the inquiry, as stated by a law enforcement insider.
This young girl Rivas was originally reported missing from Lake Elsinore in spring 2024. Her body was eventually discovered in the artist's Tesla after workers at the impound facility reported a foul smell emanating from the car.

This reason for demise has yet to be ascertained, but the medical examiner's office stated that Rivas seems to have been dead inside the automobile for an extended period before being found.” Authorities are viewing her death as a homicide.
Context on D4vd
The Texas-based singer had been given a ticket in the Hollywood area just 11 days before Rivas was discovered in the car, after overstaying the 72-hour parking limit. Residents in the area reported that the Tesla had been parked in the vicinity for several weeks.
Rivas's brother stated that the family was aware that Rivas had a connection to the musician and that she was on her way to watch a film with him just before she went missing.
D4vd, referred to as “David,” is a NY-native artist famous for the hits “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” He and his representative were residing at a Los Angeles home in the Hollywood area in this past autumn, per the residence's proprietor, until law enforcement investigated the residence.
D4vd has partnered with music companies. D4vd was traveling for performances at the period Rivas's remains were found, but terminated those appearances after the finding of Rivas's corpse.
