Barça Ready for First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
